About Rahel
I was born in Asmara, Eritrea. Eritrea was the product of Italian colonization in 1890. In 1975 there was a civil war and most Italians returned to Italy. My mother got a job in Italy and I moved there when I was 6 years old.
I was raised and educated in Genoa, Italy and lived there until I was 27. I spent 2 years in Washington DC, America as a teenager in High School.
I speak Italian, English, French, Spanish and Tigrinya

Italian Teaching experience
I have experience with a variety of different teaching methods. I have taught in the classroom for seven years, I find that my language teaching is most effective when I am allowed to work with individuals and smaller groups of people. As a dynamic person that travels, learning foreign languages from the very beginning, I understand the impediments that many beginner students face.

- For about 7 years with evening Classes of 10/16 students.
- For Open University 2007-2010
- I have also worked with a lecturer (Dr Carol Richardson MA PhD, Research Lecturer – Art History, the Open University) translating a history of Art from Latin into Italian then from Italian to English. This work was published in 2006. Assistant lecturer at Open University.

I have had years of experience helping my clients with their holiday homes or helping arrange vacations through direct communication with italian individuals. Understanding Italian bureaucracy and being able to iron out issues is an art form in Italy!
